2026 Summer Taxes

Summer 2026 Taxes are due by Monday September 14, 2026, to not incur any interest. NO POSTMARKS ACCEPTED.

Please mail tax payment 10 days prior to due date to make sure it is received for payment on or before the due date.

Summer taxes paid after the due date have 1% interest added for September, and an additional 1% interest on the first day of each month thereafter until March 1, 2027.

NSF charge is $25.00

Failure to pay interest on late summer tax payments will result in a balance due on the summer tax bill.

Winter taxes are due by December 1, 2026, and paid by February 16, 2027 to not incur a late fee. You may pay Summer and Winter taxes at the township hall until March 1, 2027.

Beginning March 2, 2027, both Summer and Winter taxes are to be paid at the Berrien County Treasurer’s Office and will have penalty and interest due.

Taxes are payable by cash and check. The township also accepts credit card payments in person and online. A convenience fee will be added to all credit card payments. 

PLEASE DATE YOUR CHECK THE DATE YOU MAIL IT OR DELIVER IT TO THE TOWNSHIP.  WE CANNOT ACCEPT POST-DATED CHECKS, OR ‘HOLD’ YOUR TAX CHECK TO CASH AT A LATER DATE. NOT ADHERING TO THIS REQUEST WILL RESULT IN THE TOWNSHIP RETURNING YOUR CHECK AND TAX BILL BACK TO YOU.
