Operating as an advisory body to Township Officials, the Planning Commission plays a pivotal role in guiding the community’s planning and development endeavors. Its key functions and responsibilities, as mandated by statutes, encompass:
- Facilitating public hearings and providing recommendations to the Township Board.
- Undertaking administrative tasks delineated within the zoning ordinance.
- Formulating and periodically revising a comprehensive master plan.
- Overseeing pertinent duties and activities related to public improvement projects as deemed necessary.
